Our Story

About Us

Established in 1978, Joint Seal began as a specialist gasket manufacturer and has grown alongside South African industry for more than 40 years. From humble beginnings, we’ve expanded our capabilities and equipment to become a trusted supplier to a wide range of sectors. We believe in running our business with integrity, inclusivity, and respect. Our team of 11 is led by Managing Director Cilla Tompkins and proudly reflects South Africa’s diversity, with the majority of our workforce being skilled black women.

Commitment to Quality

Quality has always been the seal of our business. For 22 years, we proudly held South Africa’s only Civil Aviation manufacturing licence (M46), passing rigorous audits and proving our ability to meet the highest standards. While the licence has since been discontinued due to market shifts, the same commitment to quality remains at the core of everything we do.
